Doctors Only!?

Question by qtgirliexox008: doctors only!?
Hi I am looking for serious answers.
I’m a junior in college right now majoring in elementary education. I really want to work at a hospital next summer as a part time job. Are there jobs that you know of where I can work with children that are in-patients or a job where i can get paid working at a hospital even though my major is elementary education and not towards medicine? I really want to know what jobs i can get even though im not majoring in medicine. Please answer!

Yes you can take a nurse aid course and work with kids, as long as you can pass the police clearance

I am not a doctor, but I am a medical assistant/pre-nursing student and it sounds like a patient services rep would be a good idea. A PSR rooms patients, takes BP, temp, height and weight, schedules follow up appts, etc…depending on the hospital/clinic you work at. I would suggest trying a local pediatrics clinic or children’s hospital. Best of luck to you.
