Asking Orthopedic Specialist for More Rehab?

Question by Joey: Asking orthopedic specialist for more rehab?
I’m currently under physical rehab an inflamed shoulder on doctor’s orders. Football starts in a couple weeks and I really don’t want to play, but my mom really wants to get pictures of me in a jersey. But I don’t really want to do it any more. I figured I’d just ask the doctor to put me on a 4-month rehab plan to strengthen my shoulder, avoid having to put pads on completely, and be able to give my mom the pictures she wants. Im wondering if this is possible for a doctor or if he’ll tell me it’s illegal or something like that?

If you tell him it’s not getting any better than he will probably order more PT of not than just tell him you think you need more PT.
